It consists of of farmland, wetland, and woods, with a farm complex that dates to the mid-19th century. The oldest portion of the main house, now an ell, is a 1-1/2 story Cape style structure built in 1846. The main block of the present house, a 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, was built in 1861, and the old house rotated and attached to its south side. The attached barn complex dates to 1847.
